Henrietta Pittman

Henrietta Pittman, a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother went to be with the Lord on Monday, December 29, 2025, at the age of 84. 

She devoted her life to her children and grandchildren. She was a dedicated employee retired from Bellsouth after 30+ years of service. She loved attending baseball and football games, gymnastics and cheerleading competitions, family outings to Dollywood, Dollywood Splash and the Knoxville Zoo. Weekends were spent fishing on the lake with her husband Larry and the kids and grandkids or visiting with special friends Pam and Randy Smith, Barbara Fagan and Marion Hendren. Henrietta was a dedicated member of Sharon Baptist Church and gladly volunteered in the church kitchen. Her generosity and loving nature touched everyone she met; she will be greatly missed, and the memories shared with her will be forever cherished.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 35 years, Larry Pittman; parents, James and Margret Broome; siblings, Jimmy Broome and Venila Jones. 

Henrietta is survived by her sisters, Becky and husband Darrel Bird, Margie and husband Steve Lilly; son, Scott and wife Kristie Pittman; daughters, Deanie Bailey, Kimberly and husband Davey Sanderson; grandchildren, Clint and Wes Whaley, Dusty and Clay Pittman, Whitney Salley, Breanna, Brooklyn and Jackson Sanderson; great grandchildren, Maddison and Mason Whaley along with several special nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends Sunday, January 4, 2026, from 5:00pm-7:00pm at Mynatt Funeral Home Powell Chapel with a service to follow at 7:00pm.  Pastor Mark McCoig officiating.  The family will meet Monday, January 6, 2026 at 11:45am at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens in Beckley, WV for a 12:00 noon interment service.
