Helen Faye Vandergriff

Helen Faye Vandergriff, age 92, of Knoxville, Tennessee, peacefully passed away Wednesday November 29, 2023, surrounded by her loving family. Helen was a longtime employee and retiree of the Knox County School District. She was a member of Black Oak Heights Baptist Church for 77 years where she had made many friends while worshiping and sharing her faith in Jesus
Christ.

Helen is preceded in death by her husband of 47 years William “Bill” Vandergriff, grandson (John Sturgeon II), and great granddaughter (Kassidy Rae Wynne). She is survived by her three daughters Diane Sturgeon (John), Vicky Vandergriff both of Knoxville, TN., Peggy Davis, Sarasota, FL., and her son Dr. Joseph “Vance” Vandergriff, Murrells Inlet, SC., 7 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, and 6 great great grandchildren.

Family will receive friends 5:00-7:00pm Monday, December 4, 2023, at Mynatt Funeral Home Fountain City Chapel, Pastor Todd Stinnett and Rev. Justin Pratt officiating.
