Helen Elizabeth Thomas Brower, 78, of Knoxville, TN, left this life on March 1, 2023. Helen was born October 8, 1944, in Miami, Florida, to a family of swimmers and flower gardeners. She grew up as “one of the Silver Springs kids” and graduated from Ocala High School in 1962. In 1972, she and her husband David moved to Tennessee. They founded a successful typesetting and printing business, published a good news newspaper, The Eastside Neighbor, owned real estate and were members of Rutherford Memorial United Methodist Church.
Proceeded by her husband of 46 years David L. Brower, Sr., parents Clifford Thomas and Mary Shepherd Thomas, and stepsons; David L. Brower Jr. and John R. Brower.

Survived by daughter, Mary Helen Lee (Scott), grandchildren; Bryn Lee, Rocket Lee, Lily Lee and Brittany Brower (Rich), stepson Richard Clay Brower (Michele), and brother James E. Thomas.
A receiving of friends will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, March 18, 2023 at Mynatt Funeral home in Fountain City Chapel, with a memorial service following at 2:00 PM with Chaplain Phil Gross officiating.
