“Heather Kimberly Wheeler, 56, of Knoxville, TN, passed away Monday, June 29, 2026 surrounded by her family. She was the beloved wife of Chris Wheeler, whose life was forever enriched by their love and partnership. Her warmth and generous spirit will be deeply missed by everyone who knew her. She is survived by her loving husband, Chris Wheeler; her children Scott Thomas Erickson (Lindsey Erickson), Cody Thomas Wheeler (Alyx Wheeler), Harley Thomas Wheeler, Heather Renee Zoutte, and Crystal Leann Stautzenberger; grandchildren Kylie, Kaylyn, Brandon, Khloe, Makai, Cruze, Scotty, Ivory and Opal; great grandchildren Laylyn, Tremond, and Alex; fur babies Zeus and Rayna; siblings Kathy, Terry, Mary and Robin; along with many extended family members and dear friends. Heather was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Roy and Alice Kruse; and siblings Monty and Cathy. Those who knew Heather will remember her for her infectious smile, her adventurous spirit, and her remarkable ability to find joy in life's simplest moments. She embraced life wholeheartedly and believed every gathering was an opportunity to create lasting memories. Whether surrounded by family, laughing with friends, or offering encouragement to someone in need, Heather had a gift for making people feel seen, valued, and loved. Although her passing leaves an immeasurable void for all who knew her, Heather's legacy will continue through the family she cherished and friendships she nurtured. Her memory will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. Heather was an employee of the Knox County Register of Deeds office. The receiving of family and friends will be held at Mynatt Funeral Home, Halls Chapel 4131 E. Emory Road Knoxville, TN 37938 on Saturday, July 11, 2026 from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm with a service following. The interment of ashes will be held Monday, July 13, 2026 at the East Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery 2200 E. Governor John Sever Highway Knoxville, TN 37920.
