Gregory Scott Nelson, age 61, of Knoxville, went home to be with the Lord on June 7, 2026. He was born on July 7, 1964, to the late Frank Nelson and Frances Foster. He is also preceded in death by his brother, Gary Nelson.
He is survived by his daughters, Madison Coleman (Samuel), Caity Whaley (Jacub), and Emily Pinion; grandson, Jackson; 5 siblings; and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
One of Greg's favorite pastimes was spending time at the lake with his family.
The family will receive friends at Mynatt Funeral Home, Fountain City Chapel, on Thursday, June 11, 2026 from 12-2pm with a funeral service to follow. Family and friends will then go in procession to Greenwood Cemetery for a 3pm graveside service.
