Glenn Lee Rhoads was born on August 15, 1930, in Louisville, KY, and peacefully graduated to his heavenly home at the age of ninety-five on Sunday, October 5, 2025, in Knoxville, TN. As a teenager, Glenn accepted Christ as his Savior and faithfully served the Lord the rest of his life. Glenn was a lifelong enthusiastic lover of music - especially Christian music, having sung in numerous choirs, groups, and as a soloist. Glenn played the piano and accordion, and he served as the Minister of Music for several churches through the years. In addition, Glenn served churches for many years as a deacon, Sunday School teacher, and bookkeeper. Glenn was a member of Cedar Ridge Baptist Church in Knoxville.

Glenn was a military veteran, having enlisted and served in the Air Force during the Korean War from 1950-1953, receiving an honorable discharge. While stationed in England during the war, Glenn met and married his bride, Joy, and they were married 61 years until her passing in 2015. Glenn and Joy are interred together in the East Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery in Knoxville, TN.

Glenn is now reunited in heaven with his loving wife, Joy, his father and mother, Nelson and Mary Rhoads, his sister and brother-in-law, Betty and Robert Davis, and his son-in-law, William Kraatz. Glenn is survived by his daughter, Sandra Kraatz, his son and his wife, Kenneth and Gwen Rhoads, and his daughter and her husband, Lynn and Steve Vaught. Glenn is also survived by seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
