Gerald Roger Pickel

Gerald R. "Jerry" Pickel, age 82, of Knoxville, TN, transitioned to his heavenly home December 5th, 2025.

He trusted in Jesus as his Savior and attended worship services/Bible studies at Morning Pointe Assisted Living. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force, serving from 1965-1969. He had a degree in Business Finance from Middle Tennessee State University. Jerry loved his family, especially his McCarter kinfolk.

He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Pickel; mother, Willa "Billie" McCarter Pickel; wife, Wanda Boling Pickel; and brother, Donald Pickel.

He is survived by his sister, Barbara Deal; daughter, Dawn Pickel Fewell (husband Scott); and daughter Michelle Pickel Singleton (husband Randy); grandchildren, Ian Pickel (friend Keylee Dillion), Andy Singleton (wife Natalie), Elizabeth Anne Hammons (fiancé Zach Taylor), and Abbey Stokes (husband Blake); great-grandchildren, T.J. Hammons, Blakelyn Singleton, and Hadley, Beckham, & Remi Stokes.

The family wishes to thank the staff at Morning Pointe Assisted Living of Powell for their love and care of Jerry these last three years.

A Drop-By Celebration of Life Gathering with casual attire will be in the fellowship hall at Black Oak Heights Baptist Church, 405 Black Oak Drive, Knoxville, TN 37912 on Saturday, December 13, 2025, from 1-3pm.
