Gerald "Jerry" Eugene Swinson

Gerald “Jerry” Eugene Swinson, age 70 of Knoxville, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday June 30th, 2024 after a ten year battle with ALS. He attended Loveland Baptist Church for many years and loved to serve by setting up for VBS at Loveland each year. He worked as a self-employed Timber Merchant and Long-haul truck driver for most of his life. He loved fishing, hunting and being in nature, but most of all spending time with his daughters, grandchildren and family. Preceded in death by Gene Swinson (Father), Kitty Matchette (Sister), Terra Swinson (Sister), Gena Roberts (Sister), and Tommy Swinson (Brother). Survived by wife, Julie Swinson;daughters, Jera (Paul) Spilman, Tori (Brady) Whitt, and Millie (Nathan) Kilgore; grandchildren, Raylee Spilman, Barrett Whitt and Lainey Whitt; mother, Ardella Moulton; sisters, Judy Haygood, Patty Mcnabb, Johnette (Eugene) Kramer, and Shawn Moulton; as well as many cousins, nieces and nephews, family and friends.  The family will receive friends on Friday, July 5th, 2024 from 5:30-6:30pm at Loveland Baptist Church, 1320 Spring Hill Road Knoxville, TN 37914, with a 6:30pm service to follow.
