George Neas Jones

George Neas Jones, Jr. age 81 of Fountain City passed away Friday, December 11, 2020 at University of Tennessee Medical Center. He was a member of Fountain City Presbyterian Church and the Good News Sunday School Class. A 1957 graduate of Gibbs High School, employed by the Knoxville Post Office for 43 years, a US Army veteran, 32 degree Mason and member of Bright Hope Lodge 557 F & AM. He was a great photographer, loved riding his Harley and driving his Model A and he loved his family. Preceded in death by parents; George Neas Jones Sr. and Georgia Clonelle Jones. Survivors; wife of 53 years, Faye (Johnson) Jones, Daughters; Cindy (Ken) Ricker, Tammy (Ed) Reed, Amy (Brett) Nutter and Debby (Aaron) Dowling. Grandchildren; Chris (Leslie) Reed, Tyler (Ashleigh) Reed, Grayson ( Kayla) Ricker, Hannah and Ethan Hancock, Kylie Dowling, Teagan , Cameron and Drake Nutter, Lily, Lola, Eli and Sophia Griffith. Great Grandchildren; Mason Ricker and Hendrick Reed. Sisters; Judy Hill and Joy Zimmerman. Brother; Jerry (Janice) Jones. Numerous nieces and nephews. Special friends; David Dyer and Jim Fox. The family would like to thank the staff on UT 9 West for their wonderful care and compassion.
