George Raymond Hillard

George Raymond Hillard, age 86, of Knoxville, Tennessee, died peacefully with his family by his side in the late evening hours of Thursday, July 18, 2024.He was of the Baptist faith and member of Beaver Dam Baptist Church and Central Baptist Church in Fountain City. He was the owner Hillard and Company. Post retirement, he served in car sales at Ted Russell Ford and Lance Cunningham Ford. He is preceded in death by his parents Raymond and Noralee Hillard; Stepfather, Ernest Payne Jr. and brother, Robert Carroll Hillard. He is survived by his Wife and soulmate of 68 years, Maureen Holt Hillard; children, Timothy Raymond Hillard, Karen Ann Hillard Smith, Michael Joseph (Glenda Underwood Hillard); grandchildren, Joseph Lee Smith (Alisha), Timothy Raymond Hillard Jr. (Hollie), Matthew Ryan Smith, Benjamin Ray Smith (Ashley), Joshua Michael Hillard (Allyson), and Ashley Hillard Elliott (Pierce); and also leaves behind 18 Great Grandchildren. A special thank you to all the doctors, nurses, and the UT hospice team that cared and loved Ray. The family will receive friends on Monday, from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm with a memorial service to follow.
