George Allen Byrum

George “Firecracker” Byrum Sr., age 80, went to be with his savior on Tuesday, November 27, 2018. He was a Deacon at Safe Harbor Baptist Church. He was an avid CB enthusiast. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. Preceded in death by parents Claude and Ruby Byrum, children Timmy Byrum, Debbie Patterson, grandson Brent Byrum, siblings; Clara, Sally, Robert, Betty, John, and Doris. He is survived by his wife of 59 years Margaret Byrum, children Nancy, George (Maryann), Dennis (Theresa), Steve (Susan), siblings; Martha, Luther, Catherine, and JoAnn, 8 grandchildren, 4 greatgrandchildren, and 1 great greatgrandchild. The family will receive friends from 4:00-6:00 pm on Saturday, December 1, 2018 at Mynatt Funeral Home Fountain City Chapel, with a service to follow at 6:00 pm, Pastor Carl J. Elliot officiating.
