Gayal Emert

Gayal Ward Emert, age 68, of Knoxville, Tennessee, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, April 9, 2024. She was a loving wife, sister and aunt. Gayal was a member of First Freewill Baptist Church, South Knoxville. She loved her friends and church family. Gayal always thought of other people first before herself. She loved her church children, Dallas and Josiah meant the world to her. She was preceded in death by her parents, Edith and Herbert Ward and in laws, Kenneth Emert, Sr. and Geneva Emert. Gayal leaves behind the love of her life husband, Kenneth Emert, Jr. of thirty-six years; sister, Frankie Mynatt; nephew, Chad Mynatt and a host of cousins, aunts, nieces and nephews. The family and friends will meet at the main entrance to Greenwood Cemetery by 12:45 PM Monday, April 15, 2024 for a 1:00 PM graveside service with Pastor Perry Delk officiating.
