Gary W. Powell (Tater), age 63, of Powell, Tennessee went to be with the Lord on Saturday, July 5, 2025, at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was a member of Sunny View Baptist Church. He was a former employee of Sam’s Club.
Preceded in death by his father, Bobby Powell, and brother, Bobby Powell Jr.
Survived by mother, Barbara Powell; loving wife of 41 year, Sherri Powell; daughters, Cindy Reed and Jessie Powell; brother, Donnie Powell; and grandchildren, Ryder Chandler, Haylee Reed, Brayden Houser, Patrick Houser and Aiden Houser.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, July 10, 2025, at Mynatt Funeral Home-Halls Chapel from 6:00 PM to 8:00 P.M., with a funeral service to follow with Rev. Joe Norris officiating. Family and Friends will meet on Friday, July 11, 2025, at Mynatt Funeral Home-Halls Chapel at 10 A.M. to go in procession to Kitts Cemetery for an 11:00 A.M. interment.
