Gary Wayne Ellis

Gary Wayne Ellis, age 68, of Knoxville, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, January 10, 2024. He was a faithful caretaker of his wife for 10 years.

He was preceded in death by his parents Wanda and Robert Ellis and his sister Teresa White.

Gary is survived by his loving wife Linda Ellis; children Austin (Marie Hungate) Mallicoat, Dylan Johnson, Randy Mallicoat, Kimberly Mallicoat, Jessica (Scott Williams) Mallicoat, Jennifer (Josh Blevins) Mallicoat, Jennifer Galyon, Christy Ellis-Henderlight; grandchildren Lexi Williams, Chris, Hayley, Colby, Caiden, Alex, Blake, Aytumn, Brandy, April, Skylan and Joshey; great-grandchildren Edith, Meredith, Anna, and Savanna; siblings Steven (Pam) Ellis, Janet (Dennis) Collins, Darryl (Trina) Ellis, Kimberly (Chris) Phillips, sisters-in-law Christy Lindsey, Wanda (Tom Crum) Gallaher; brother-in-law Jim (Sheila) McMullen.

Receiving of friends will be held on Sunday, January 14, 2024, from 2:00 to 4:00 PM at Mynatt Funeral Home Fountain City Chapel. Friends and family will meet on Monday, January 15, 2024, at 12:45 PM for a 1:00 PM graveside at Fort Sumter Community Cemetery. Condolences and memories may be left for the family at mynattfh.com.
