Gary Lynn Brooks

Gary Lynn Brooks, age 64 of Knoxville, passed away December 27, 2023. He was a kind hearted and hard working man, who loved his family fiercely and was always ready to lend help to those who needed it. Gary was a strong willed man, who overcame a lot of obstacles. Preceded in death by parents James and Bobbie Brooks; brothers, R.J. and Jay Brooks; sister, Jeanie Brooks; nephew A.J. Brooks. Survived by loving wife, Alisha Brooks, with whom he had finally found true love; children, Jerry Shinliver, Regina George, Chris Brooks and Kerrigan Lynn; grandson, Jerry Shinliver; special friend, and cousin, Daniel Williams. Family will receive friends 11:00 am-1:00 pm Saturday, January 6, 2024, at Mynatt Funeral Home Halls Chapel with service to follow at 1:00 pm.
