Gail Franklin Wortley

Gail Franklin Wortley age 77, of Knoxville, TN., passed away on Saturday, July 20, 2024. He was a partner with Trinity Community Church, member of Knoxville Bar Association, and he practiced as an Attorney in Knoxville for 51 years. He was preceded in death by his father, Randall Wortley, mother, Joyce Wortley, sister, Joycelyn Wortley Heidel, grandfather, T. Weidemann and grandmother, Jenny Weidemann. He is survived by his daughter, Melissa Lawing and husband Stephen, sons, Ryan Wortley and Grant Wortley, and grandchildren: Jackson Lawing, Jacob Lawing, Christian Lawing, Avary Wortley, Journee Wortley and Mariah Hobby. The family will receive friends Thursday, July 25, 2024, from 5:00 – 7:00 pm at Mynatt Funeral Home, Halls Chapel, immediately followed by a 7:00 pm funeral service officiated by Pastor Tyler Lynde. Family and friends will meet Friday, July 26, 2024, at 10:45 am at Mount Hope Cemetery, Deer Lodge, TN., for an 11:00 am interment service officiated by Pastor Mark Medley.
