Freddie Mae Hodge

Freddie Mae Henderson Hodge, age 98 was welcomed at the Pearly Gate at 3:14 am on Sunday March 19, 2023. There to meet her was her beloved husband, Mack (shouting ‘Amen! And AMEN!!”), Their daughters Janice & Susan, and all the host of Heaven. 

Ten minutes later the Angels were all hunting for the half-finished glasses of sweet tea they had just set down to dash to the Gates. Mom, of course, could be found at Heaven’s kitchen sink, washing up all those half-empty glasses, because, after all, “No one was using them!”

She was preceded in death by her husband; William Mac Hodge, daughters; Susan Hodge Whaley, and Janice Hodge. Survivors; sister; Lillian Henderson Fox, sons; Richard Alan Hodge, James Roy (Cheryl) Hodge, son-in-law; Eugene Whaley, daughter; Phyllis Hodge (Bob) Griffin. She leaves behind 5 Grandchildren; 11 Great-Grandchildren; 9 Great-Great Grandchildren and a host of many nieces, nephew and friends.
