Foster Stout

Foster “Shop” Stout, age 91, of Ft. City, passed away on Friday, August 12, 2022 at Ben Atchley State Veterans Home. He was in the US Army Veteran serving in the Korean war. He was a member of Springhill Baptist Church. He was a proud supporter of Fulton athletics. Preceded in death by wife of 65 years, Shirley Stout; parents, Elmer and Pearl Stout; sister, Juanita Pierce; brother, Wilbur Stout. He is survived by children, Pete Stout (Donna), John Stout (Carol), Jane Stout Brantley (Todd Lay); grandchildren, Adam Stout (Lindsay), Jacob Stout (Lauren), Leah Wardlaw (Brandon), Brittany Brantley, Islande Stout and Emily Stout; 11 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Family and friends will meet on Tuesday, August 16, 2022 at East TN Veterans Cemetery at 12:15pm for an 12:30 committal service with grandson, John Stout, officiating. The family is requesting guest to wear casual clothes. In lieu of flowers, family is requesting donations be made to Springhill Baptist Church, 2101 Springhill Rd., Knoxville, TN 37914. The family would like to express a special thank you to Dee Rice, dad’s hospice nurse, with Amedisys Hospice, and the staff of Ben Atchley State Veterans Home.
