Floyd Lamar Patty, Sr.

Floyd Lamar Patty Sr., age 89, of Knoxville went home to be with the Lord Wednesday, March 4, 2026. He was a retired U.S. Army veteran and retired also from Knoxville Police Department. He was a longtime member of City View Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Patty; parents, Floyd and Edna; children, Marty Patty and Pepper Mitchell.

He is survived by his brother, Joe (Betty) Lowery; grandchildren, Nikki, Robert, Shana, and Charlie; great-granddaughter, Sydni Evans and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 – 7:00 pm on Monday, March 9, 2026 at City View Baptist Church, 2311 Fine Ave., Knoxville, TN 37917. The funeral service will follow at 7:00 pm with Rev. Gene Hurley officiating.

Family and friends will meet Tuesday, March 10, 2026 at 12:45 pm for the 1:00 pm Committal Service at East Tennessee Veterans State Cemetery, 5901 Lyons View Pike, Knoxville, TN 37919.
