Evelyn "Joyce" Weaver Jones

Evelyn "Joyce" Weaver Jones age 91 (11-23-1943/9-14-2026) of Fountain City went to be with Jesus Monday.  Preceded in death by husband; Jerry Jones,; father, Cyrus Scott Weaver; mother, Mary Nelle Weaver,; sister, Barbara Ogle and brother, John Weaver.  Joyce was of the Baptist faith.  She graduated from Central High School in 1952, worked at Miller's Department Store for 25 years and then for GE Credit and Credit Bureau of Knoxville.  Joyce loved sports and was often called "The Sports Authority".  Survivors; son, Mike (Melinda) Jones; daughter, Deb (Billy) Welch; granddaughters, Megan (Dustin) Millaway and Amy (Chuck) Brock; great-grandsons, Hudson and Ethan Millaway; special niece and nephews, Mary Lee Moretz, Frank "Rusty" Ogle and Tommy Solomon.  Family and friends will meet 10:45 a.m. Thursday, September 17, 2026 at Greenwood Cemetery for an 11:00 a.m. graveside service, Rev. Tim Turley officiating.  In lieu of flowers please make donations to Broadway Baptist Church 815 N.
