Evelyn Bridges Wormsley

Evelyn Bridges Wormsley, of Knoxville, passed away on Sunday, May 8, 2022. She was a lifelong member of Graveston Baptist Church, a member and Past Worthy Matron of the Corryton Chapter Order of the Eastern star, and graduate of Gibbs High School Class of 1949. She loved her family dearly. She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Wormsley; parents, Mr. and Mrs. Narvel Bridges; her father and mother-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Tom Wormsley; sisters, Jane Bridges Sharp and Lela Bridges Robbins. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Jay and Amy Wormsley, of Knoxville; granddaughter, Meredith Wormsley; sisters-in-law, Betty Longmire, of Knoxville, and Katie Lock, of Baltimore, Ohio; cousins, Doris Bridges and Martha Warwick. Family and friends may call at their convenience on Tuesday, May 10, 2022, from 9:00am until 6:00pm at Mynatt Funeral Home Halls Chapel. Family and friends will meet on Wednesday, May 11, 2022, at 10:00am at Mynatt Funeral Home to go in procession to Lynnhurst Cemetery for a 11:00am graveside service officiated by Rev. Richie Beeler. Pallbearers will be the staff of Mynatt Funeral Home, Inc.
