Evelyn Faye Acuff

Evelyn Faye Acuff, age 83, of Washburn, TN, died peacefully Thursday, December 14, 2023. She was a graduate of Washburn High School, 1958. Evelyn was a member of Locust Grove Baptist Church. She was a graduate of Draughn’s Business College in 1958-1959, Following college, Evelyn worked at Sears for over thirty-five years as a credit clerk. Evelyn was preceded in death by her parents, Alden and Hettie Acuff; sister, Shirley Coffey; nephew, William (Bill) McGinnis. She is survived by her sister, Josephine (Jo) (Thomas) Whitt; nieces and nephews Tomah (Lynn) Smith, Keith Whitt, Kristi (Gary) Kupfer, Kent (Kim) Whitt; great-nieces and nephews, Dedra (Richard) Nicley, Ashley (Derek) Miller, Misti (Derek) Bailey, Derek McGinnis, Nick (Brandi) Smith, Katie Whitt, Kyle Whitt and Samantha Harvey; Robert Joseph Kupfer, Brady (Tori) Whitt and Nathan (Lindsea) Whitt; several great-great and great-great-great nieces and nephews. The family would like to express their thanks and gratitude to Emory Ridge Memory Care and Amedisys Hospice for their love and care to Aunt Evelyn in her last year. Visitation for family and friends will be from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM Noon Monday, December 18, 2023at Mynatt Funeral Home, Halls Chapel officiated by Rev. Richard Nicely.
