Ethel Edna (Keene) McCarty

Ethel Edna Keene McCarty, age 83, of Maynardville, Tennessee, died peacefully on Monday, January 1, 2024 with her family by her side. She was a member of Milan Baptist Church. Ethel enjoyed reading, gardening, food preservation and traveling with her family. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Garey McCarty, granddaughter, Amy Whaley and parents, Thad and Willie Keene. Ethel is survived by loving daughter and son in law, Jeanne and Chuck Whaley, Jr.; granddaughter, Erin Whaley and a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM Saturday, January 6, 2024 at Mynatt Funeral Home, Halls Chapel with funeral service to follow at 6:00 PM. Reverend Jodie Winstead officiating.
