Ernestine Britt Everhart

Ernestine Britt Everhart passed away on Thursday, November 28, 2024, at the age of 95. Ernestine was a Knox County teacher for 37 years and a member of Delta Kappa Gamma for 47 years. She was a devout member of Black Oak Heights Baptist Church and a Willing Workers S.S. Class member. She loved reading, enjoyed plays and crafting.

Ernestine is preceded in death by her loving husband, J.T. Everhart; mother & father, Will and Alice Britt; sisters, Louella, Irma and Rebecca; and brother, Clyde.

She is survived by her son, Jody (Karen); 2 grandsons, Matthew and Justin (Amanda); great-granddaughters, Kimberly and Taylor; and great-grandson, Trey and several nieces and nephews.

Family and friends will meet at 12:15pm at East Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery 2200 E Governor John Sevier Highway for a 12:30pm graveside service on Wednesday, December 4, 2024. Online condolences may be left for the family at www.mynattfh.com.
