Eric Shane Smith

Eric Shane Smith, age 39, of Knoxville, passed away on Monday, May 12, 2025. Eric was an employee for Brownlee Construction and a graduate of Powell High School, Class of 2004. He gave back to his community by volunteering for Community Outreach.

Eric is preceded in death by his grandfather, John Smith and Lloyd Carr; grandmother, Edna Herrell; his beloved papaw, Clemith White; and his significant other, Donna Tallent.

He is survived by his parents, Steve and Tammy Smith; grandmother, Betty White; his siblings Travis Smith (Melissa), Tabatha Smith, Stephanie McGinnis (Justin), and Brandon Smith (Hayley); son Skylar Shane Smith; daughter Nevaeh Faith Hite; and bonus daughter Abby. Eric also leaves behind several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and friends.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, May 15, 2025, from 5:00PM to 7:00PM at Mynatt Funeral Home, Fountain City Chapel, with a service to follow at 7PM. Online condolences may be expressed at www.mynattfh.com.
