Eric Martin Emmett

Eric Martin Emmett, age 68, passed away peacefully on August 5, 2024 at his home in Knoxville, TN with his wife by his side. He was born October 1, 1955 in San Jose, California Santa Clara County, to Ralph and Lillian Emmett. He was a graduate of Santa Clara High School and studied at San Joaquin Delta College in California. He married Pamela Guy on April 30, 2013, in El Dorado County South Lake Tahoe California. He served as a firefighter for 35 years, ending his career at Waterloo Morado Fire District, where he served as Fire Captain. He also taught fire science at San Joaquin Delta College. Eric enjoyed riding his Harley, smoking cigars, and spending time with his family, friends, and pets (Toby was his favorite). He is preceded in death by his father Ralph William Emmett, his grandparents James and Mary Emmett, and Antonio and Rosalina Giovagnoli, and step-son Stevie Allen Sharp. He is survived by his wife, Pamela, his mother, Lillian, his two brothers Mark and Brian, his sister Shari, his children Jason, Marc, Jacqueline, and Nikki, a host of grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Special thanks to nurses; Beth and Jane, and his special friend Tony Martin who was always available to help when needed. Family will receive friends 5:00-7:00pm Saturday, August 10, 2024, at Mynatt Funeral Home, Powell Chapel with service to follow at 7:00pm, Rev. Rick Carnes officiating.
