Elvetta Sue Wood-Hawkins

Elvetta Sue Wood Hawkins (Chinkey), age 80, born July 14, 1944, passed away February 14, 2025 at Sacred Ground Hospice. She was a graduate of West High School. She retired from Baptist Hospital and St. Mary’s Hospital as a pharmacy technician. She is preceded in death by her husband, Robert Hawkins; parents, Jack and Elizabeth Wood; special aunts, Francis Dockey and Elizabeth Russell and several uncles. She is survived by sister, Jacqueline Weaver (Ken); niece, Tammy Lovelace (Rick); step-daughter, Joyce Jones (Butch); special cousin, Joyce Collette (Paul); special friends, Linda Rimmer, Emma Williams and Cheryl Cason and several cousins.

The family will receive friends from 11:00am-1:00pm Saturday, February 22, 2025 at Mynatt Funeral Home, Fountain City Chapel with a 1:00pm Funeral service with Rev. Jonathan Tharpe officiating.
