Elsie Christine Henderson

Elsie Christine Henderson, age 92, of Knoxville, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Sunday, September 22, 2024. She was a faithful member of Union Baptist Church of Halls. Christine worked at several sales and sewing jobs before finding a job as a machine operator at Levi-Strauss and Company in Knoxville, TN. She would later retire from Levi’s and spent her retirement crocheting, making candy and baking cakes for all occasions. Her red velvet cake was always a favorite at church functions. Christine is survived by four of her five children. Her daughter, Patricia died at the age of fifty. Left to mourn her passing are her four sons, Clyde, Don, Len and Mike. She also leaves four grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren. Family and friends will meet by 10:45 AM Thursday, September 26, 2024 at Union Baptist Church Cemetery, 8244 Maynardville Highway, for an 11:00 AM graveside service with Reverend Gary Vandergriff officiating.
