Eloise "Shorty" Hackworth

Eloise “Shorty” Hackworth, age 78, passed away December 26, 2018. She was a member of Callahan Road Baptist Church. Eloise was involved in the community and active in church groups. She worked as a cafeteria manager at St. Josephs School, but was primarily a homemaker. Eloise is preceded in death by her husband Hubert Carter Hackworth; parents Harrison and Verenia Barnard; and brother Larry Barnard. She is survived by children Nora Price, Stan Hackworth, Colleen Cole; grandchildren John Pollard, Laura Pollard, Stephanie Price, Brittany Manges, Wes Kitts, Casey Kitts, Whitley Johnson, Zach Cole, Cliffie Cole, and Abbigail Cole; several great grandchildren; brothers Gene Barnard and Eddie Barnard; sister Mildred Catlett; several nieces and nephews. Flowers are welcome, though memorial donations can be made to Alzheimer’s Tennessee, https://www.alztennessee.org. Family will receive friends 4:00-6:00PM Sunday at Mynatt Funeral Home Fountain City Chapel with service to follow, Rev. Mark Sasser officiating. Family and friends will meet at 9:45AM Monday at the funeral home and process to Woodlawn Cemetery for 11:00AM interment. Serving as pallbearers are Zach Cole, Cliff Cole, John Pollard, Jason Barnard, Sam Johnson, Casey Kitts, Cliff Cole, and Michael Haynes. Honorary pallbearers Gene and Eddie Barnard.
