Elmo Harold Brock

Elmo Brock of Powell, Tennessee went home to the Lord on Sunday, August 24, 2025.

Elmo was born on September 6,1951 to Randy and Helen Brock. He was a committed Christian, husband, father, grandfather and friend. He attended Fair Havens Baptist Church since 1973 and served as a deacon for many of those years. Along with his brother, he ran a successful painting company for almost 50 years and was proud of their work. He was a graduate of Halls High School and a United States Army veteran. He liked to play golf in his spare time. Those who knew Elmo will remember his kindness, humor, devotion to his faith and family and his work ethic.

He is survived by Linda Brock, his wife of 52 years, children Sarah LeVan (husband Jay LeVan) and Matthew Brock (wife Jesica Brock), grandchildren Mason Brock and Kaitlyn LeVan, sister Paula Lynch and many beloved nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers Firman and Jim.

In lieu of flowers, Elmo would have appreciated donations be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital (stjude.org).

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, August 27, 2025, from 5:00 - 7:00 PM at Mynatt Funeral Home, Halls Chapel, followed by a 7:00 PM funeral service officiated by Rev. Kemp Wynn. Family and friends will meet Thursday, August 28, 2025, at 10:45 AM at Sharon Baptist Church Cemetery for an 11:00 AM interment service.
