Edwin “Eddie” L. McDaniel, beloved brother, uncle, and friend, age 78, of Corryton, Tennessee, passed away peacefully on October 27, 2025. He was born on April 2, 1947, in Luttrell, Tennessee, to the late Silas Raymond McDaniel and Mildred Lucille Kelly McDaniel. Eddie served his country as a Specialist Five (SP5) in the United States Army during the Vietnam era, with tours of duty in Germany and Vietnam from May 24, 1966, to May 15, 1969. Through hard work and dedication, he built his own upholstery business, The Undercover Shop, which he managed for over twenty years. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Carl McDaniel, and sister, Wanda Jackson. He will be lovingly remembered by his sister, Judy Paul; brother, David McDaniel (Jeanette); niece, Kim Mitchell (Brandon); and nephew, Morgan McDaniel (Katie), along with many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and friends who knew him. The family will receive friends on Saturday, November 01, 2025, from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm at Mynatt Funeral Home, Fountain City Chapel, 2829 Rennoc Rd. Knoxville, TN 37918. Family and friends will meet at 1:45 pm Sunday, November 2, 2025, at Kelly Cemetery in Luttrell, Tennessee, for a 2:00 pm graveside service with Full Military Honors conducted by the Tri County Veterans Honor Guard.
