Edna Hiers

Edna Hiers of Powell Tennessee passed away on January 23, 2021. She was a member of Sharon Baptist Church. Preceded in death by her parents, Hugh and Effie Mae Taylor; siblings: Sherman Taylor, Della Paine, Jack Taylor, Sandra Young and Steven Taylor. She is survived by her loving husband of 37 years, Greg Hiers; sons: Jerry (Pat) Stinnett and Ricky (Donna) Stinnett; daughter, Becky Johnson; grandchildren: Nick Stinnett, Bradley Proch, Erin Tanner, Calvin Stinnett, Alex Stinnett and Josh Johnson, along with several great-grandchildren. Siblings: Dorothy Hickle, Mildred Garrison, Betty Burnham, Lois Norris, Lonnie Taylor, Gary Taylor and Louis Taylor. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews. A Call of Convenience will be held on Monday, January 25, 2021 from 12 noon until 5:00 PM at Mynatt Funeral Home, Fountain City Chapel in Knoxville. Friends and family will gather at Sharon Baptist Church Cemetery on Tuesday, January 26, 2021 by 1:45 PM for a 2:00 PM Graveside service, with Pastor Mark McCoig officiating.
