Edna Rosella Hensley entered this world on January 12, 1935. (She always claimed that Ms Carol, who delivered her, wrote the previous year's date by habit and made her a year older.) Edna was born to Sarah Elizabeth Moore and Roy McMahan of Halls Crossroads. She was proceeded in death by both mother, father, and sisters Naomi Irwin, Bonnie Fowler, and Patsy Brook McMahan. Edna married the love of her life, Jimmy Ray Hensley July 24, 1968 and together they lived an amazing Camelot Life. Both musically gifted & comfortable in stage lights, they entertained locally on TV and on Radio. Together they had several music store locations and they taught students to play the EZ way. In 1989, they entered full time ministry together establishing First Comforter Church. They pastored FCC together, which is where they remained until she arrived in the arms of Jesus on July 9, 2026. Edna established Mother's At Prayer Service which met every Friday at noon for the Soul Purpose of praying for children. MAPS spread all over the nation and meetings still occur in person and online weekly. Edna and Jim were local celebrities in the Knoxville area and other parts of the world.
