Edgbert Lee Lovell

Edgbert Lee “Joe” Lovell, age 92, passed away surrounded by his family on January 16, 2026. He was born in Maynardville, TN on March 25, 1933.

Joe retired from AT&T (formerly South Central Bell) after many years of dedicated service.

He leaves behind his loving wife Melba; daughter Karen Waller (Butch); sister Pat and her family; grandchildren: Brad (Stephanie), Tiffani (Will), and Shanna; and great-grandchildren: Caelin, Averi, Brody, and Isaac.

Joe is preceded in death by his parents, Joe and Eva; sisters: Rowena, Mary, Susie, Jean, and Alice, and brother Edgar (Spec).

Friends may visit with the family on Tuesday, January 20, 2026 from 5-7pm at Mynatt Funeral Home, Halls Chapel. A funeral service will follow with Rev. Jody Winstead and Rev. Richard Nicely officiating.

Friends and family will meet on Wednesday, January 21, at Milan Cemetery at 10:45am for an 11am interment service.

In lieu of flowers, the family has asked for donations to be made to Milan Baptist Church.
