Eddie Dean Armstrong Jr. passed away suddenly on Wednesday, November 12, 2025, at the age of 75. He was born in Knoxville, TN on June 23, 1950. Eddie endured a life that was full of tragic events and only through his strong relationship with the LORD, was he to able to continue his life and make the best of it.

Most of Eddie’s life he was a proud member of International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) Local 760, where he spent 55+ years creating many great relationships.

His greatest earthly joys were his family and his animals. He shared a loving relationship and marriage that extended over 33 years. He treasured his loving daughter and all his grandchildren.

In his leisure time, Eddie loved the thrill of a good bargain, the excitement of an auction, alongside his enjoyment of aggravating his family and friends!

Eddie was preceded in death by his parents Edward Dean and Cora (Mays) Armstrong Sr; son Edward D Armstrong III, his grandchildren Brittney and Edward Dean Armstrong IV and his youngest son Jason H Armstrong.

Eddie is survived by his wife, Lana; his precious daughter, Amy Gibbs (Chris); step-sons Brad (Lindsey) and Chad (Jennifer) Hutchison, all his cherished grandchildren Sophie, Savannah, Elijah, Madison, Jenna, Lennex, Kase, Riley and Drew. Also survived by Sister-in-law Taylor Louise Carpenter, brothers-n-law Ted and Jerry Baker, and his two nephews, Jeff and Joey Riley and their families, along with many other family and friends.

He now rests in the eternal embrace of the Lord, reunited with loved ones

Family and friends will meet at Mynatt Funeral Home, Fountain City Chapel on Saturday November 22nd, 2025 at 12:15 pm, to go in procession to Lynnhurst Cemetery on Adair Drive. Graveside service will commence at 1:00 pm with Pastor Mike Lee to officiate.

Pallbearers: Chris Gibbs, Brad Hutchison, Joey Riley, Josh Riley, “Dude” Ingram and “Buck” Coker

Honorary Pallbearers: Jeff Riley, Tim Oakes, Ted Baker, Jerry Baker and all his brothers& sisters of the IBEW LOCAL 760.
