Earlene Smelcer Lambdin

Earlene Smelcer Lambdin, age 83, passed into the light, into the arms of her Lord and Savior on July 31, 2025.

Born on September 19, 1941, Earlene was a graduate of Central High School Class of 1959. She was employed 28 years with Maryland Casualty Co. and continued her insurance career until her retirement in December 2006.

Earlene’s greatest joy was being a mother, and she poured her heart into raising her children with patience, wisdom, and compassion. Her love was a quiet, constant presence – one that shaped the lives of those who knew her and gave her children the strength to become who they are today.

Earlene was preceded in death by her father and mother, Earl and Ruth Smelcer, and her sister and brother-in-law Leah and Noonie Whitaker.

Earlene is survived by her two children Dawn Harbin and David Lambdin and their spouses Perry Harbin and Sheryl Lambdin. She is also remembered by countless extended family members and friends whose lives she touched.

Though words can never fully express the loss we feel, we are comforted knowing that her love will live on in the lives she helped shape. We will carry her memory with us, always.
