Doris Jean Ford Lundy, age 87, of Knoxville, passed away October 30, 2017 at her home with her family by her side. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend. Doris was a wonderful cook and had a servant’s heart. She was a devoted Christian and loved the Lord. She is preceded in death by her loving husband of 57 years, Billy Ray Lundy; parents, George Washington & Jessie Ford; and several brothers and sisters. She is survived by, daughters, Karen Bowles and husband Eddie, Kimberly Barlow and husband James, and Erin Henley and Jamey Pritchett; grandchildren, Jack Crawford III and wife April, Chris Bowles, Chad Bowles and wife Brittney, and Jesse Barlow and wife Quinn; great-grandchildren, Jacob, Eli, and Seth Henley and Jack IV, Triston, and Ireland Crawford; sisters, Ruth Toole, Claudia Huskey, and Edith Ford; half-brothers and sisters, Sheila Humphrey and husband David, Nina Sawyer and husband Randy, Tim Ford and wife Tammy, Michael Ford and wife Jane; and a host of nieces and nephews. The family would like to express a special thank you to Courtyards Assisted Living and Amedysis Hospice for their loving care, especially her special caretakers, Lottie Patterson and Dolly Smith. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 1, 2017 at Mynatt Funeral Home Halls Chapel. Family and friends will meet at 12:45 p.m. Thursday, November 2, 2017 at Union Cemetery on Washington Pike for a graveside service at 1pm with Wess Sharp officiating.
