Doris G. Boone

Doris Boone age 77 of Fountain City passed away Tuesday, January 5, 2021 at her home surrounded by her family. She was a member of Glenwood Baptist Church. Doris retired as an accountant in 1989 and then from Chick-Fil-A in 1995. She was preceded in death by her parents Herman and Louise Fletcher; husband of 50 years, Jerry Boone in July 2020; sisters Dorothy Franklin and Delores Grimes; brother Richard Fletcher, Sr. and nephew Robert Franklin. Survivors include her daughter Dianne Taylor, son Kevin Boone; grandchildren: Lori and Jodi Taylor and Travis Taylor; ten great-grandsons; brother-in-law Ralph Franklin Sr., and sister-in-law, Joyce Fletcher, along with several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends on Thursday, January 14, 2021 from 5:30 – 7:30 pm in the chapel of Mynatt Funeral Home, Fountain City. A Funeral Service will follow at 7:30 with Rev. Mike Segers, officiating. Family and friends will meet at 11:15 am on Friday, January 15, 2021 at East Tennessee Veterans Cemetery, John Sevier Hwy. for a 11:30 am graveside service.
