Dora "Katy" Munsey

Dora (Katy) Munsey, age 92 of Halls, passed away Wednesday, May 27, 2015. She was a member of Salem Baptist Church. Preceded in death by parents Eva and George W. Gross; sister Dorothy Peterson; brother Whitman Gross; husband Edward (John) Munsey; daughter Dorothy (Dottie) Munsey; and son Johnnie Arnold Munsey. She is survived by sons and daughters-in-law Larry (Dawn) Munsey and Wesley (Sandy) Munsey; daughter and son-in-law Shirley (Richard) O’Dell; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; and a host of other beloved friends. She loved her Lord and Savior. She loved her family and friends. The family will receive friends 6:00 – 8:00 pm Friday at Mynatt Funeral Home Halls Chapel with funeral service to follow. Rev. John Holland and Rev. Phillip Murphy officiating. Family and friends will meet 10:15 am Saturday at Mynatt Funeral Home Halls Chapel and proceed to Ft. Sumter Community Cemetery for 11:00 am interment.
