Donald Ray Sherrod passed away August 16, 2014. Member of Mascot Baptist Church and a long time employee of Walkers Trucking. Preceded in death by parents, Donald Edward Sherrod and Mary Carmichael. Survived by wife, Sharon Sherrod; son, James (Heather) Sherrod; grandchildren, Samantha, Nathan, and Jacob; sister, Susan (Doug) Melton; brother, Jeffrey Sherrod; special aunt, Betty Thurman; and many nieces and nephews. Funeral service 8:00 pm Thursday at Mynatt Funeral Home Halls Chapel. Family and friends will meet 12:45 pm Friday at Fairview Baptist Church, Emory Road for 1:00 pm interment. The family will receive friends 6:00 – 8:00 pm Thursday at Mynatt Funeral Home Halls Chapel.
