Don Larson, formerly of Knoxville, TN, passed away on Thursday, June 12th. A proud veteran, Don served honorably in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. Following his military service, he enjoyed a long and distinguished career with United Air Lines, retiring as the station manager at McGhee Tyson Airport.
Don was preceded in death by his first wife, Judy, who passed away in 2010. He later found love again, remarrying and settling in Florida, where he lived joyfully until his later years. Don spent his final days in the compassionate care of the VA Nursing Home in Port Charlotte.
He is survived by his devoted wife, Judy Larson, and his four beloved sons: Tommy (51), David (50), Nathan (47), and Stephen (42), as well as 10 grandchildren. Don will be remembered for his dedication, service, and love for his family.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, July 2, 2025, at Mynatt Funeral Home-Halls Chapel from 10:00am to 11:30am. A procession to the cemetery will follow to Knoxville National Cemetery.
