Donald G. Webb

Donald G. Webb, age 83, went home to be with Jesus on June 2, 2016, after a courageous battle with cancer. He loved the Lord and was a member of Highland View Baptist Church. He retired from CCA after 42 years. He was a friend to many and never met a stranger. Preceded in death by parents, Noah and Lorinda Webb; son, Duane Webb; several brothers and sisters. Survived by his loving wife and soul mate of 65 years, Mary Helen Webb; children, Gene (Janice) Webb, Danny (Vivian) Webb, and Darlene (Phil) Mabe, Dale (Sherry) Webb; daughter-in-law, Sharon Webb; sister, Grace Cagley; 11 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. Special thanks to Caris Home Hospice care and nurse David Baker. The family will receive friends 5:00 – 7:00 pm Saturday at Mynatt Funeral Home Halls Chapel with funeral service to follow at 7:00 pm, Pastor Terry Walker and Pastor Doug Fielden officiating. Family and friends will meet Sunday at Mynatt Funeral Home Halls Chapel by 1:30 pm and proceed to Ft. Sumter Community Cemetery for 2:00 pm interment. Pallbearers will be Keith Fine, Justin Webb, Brad Dunsmore, Bill Harold, Josh Harrison, and David Webb. Honorary pallbearer will be Ryan Webb.
