Diane Michelle Carpenter

Diane Michelle Carpenter age 54, of Dandridge, formerly of Knoxville, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, January 25, 2026. She was a member of Faith Promise Church. Diane was a graduate of Carter High School Class of 1989. She had a talent for playing the piano, playing Ice Castle in her spare time, but more than anything she had so much love for her grandchildren.

Diane was preceded in death by her father, Phillip Terry I; grandparents, Walter and Hazel Kanipe; aunt, Ann Kanipe; and uncle, Vincent Kanipe.

She is survived by her mother, Lona Terry; husband, Larry Carpenter, Jr.; daughters, Jessica (Alicia) Sweeting, Brittany Nicely, Samantha Nicely and Danielle (Anthony) Davenport; stepson, Joshua Carpenter; grandchildren, Aydin, Amberleigh, Trey, Rylann, Peyton, Harmony, Keegan, Daelyn, Elijah, Luca and Chevy; brother, Phillip (Kimberly) Terry II; sisters, Elizabeth (John) Eaton and Jan (Jason) Sharp; aunt, Mary Lou Kanipe; her special fur baby, Diesel Carpenter; several nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.

The family will receive friends on Monday, February 2, 2026, from 11:30 AM-1:30 PM at Mynatt Funeral Home, Halls Chapel with a funeral service at 1:30 PM officiated by Pastor Chris Conner.  Family and friends will meet on Tuesday, February 3, 2026, at 1:45 PM at Mynatt Funeral Home, Halls Chapel to travel in procession to Greenwood Cemetery for 3:00 PM interment service.
