Dessie Martha Kitts

Dessie Martha Karnes Kitts, age 90, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, October 12, 2023. She was a member of Clear Springs Baptist Church where she was the Director of Vacation Bible School and teacher of the Willing Workers Bible School Class for 40 years.

She is preceded in death by husband, James Bernell Kitts; daughter, Betty Jo Kitts Wright; siblings, Bill, Bob and Jay Karnes; twin sister, Jessie Kerr.

She is survived by granddaughter, Laura Wright; son-in-law, Danny Wright; special friends, Debbie Medley, Ruth Howard, Debbie Wines, Brenda Greenlee and Faye Clark and many other special friends.

Family will receive friends for visitation on Sunday, October 15, 2023 from 5:30 pm until time of funeral service at 7:00 pm at Clear Springs Baptist Church with Rev. Justin Pratt officiating. Family and friends will meet at 10:45am on Monday, October 16, 2023 at Lynnhurst Cemetery for an 11:00 am graveside service.
