Della Mclemore

Della Hammock Mclemore, age 52, finally won her battle with cancer. She was preceded in death by her father, Lewis Hammock. She leaves behind her daughter; Megan and son-in-law Shane Rutherford, granddaughter; Denver Rutherford, estranged husband; James Mclemore, mother; Dorothy Hammock, siblings; Ray Hammock, Melissa Cummings, and Scotty Hammock, and several nieces and nephews who she loved as her own. Don’t be sad or cry for me now because I’m finally free. I love you all and hate leaving you behind, but now I’m not suffering in agony. When you think of me, I hope you remember me and smile. Listen with your heart, and you might hear me here. I lived a full life and God chose a different path for me than you. I know death is hard to understand, but sometimes it’s a good thing. Going home for me is better than the life I’ve had to live for the past two years. Please don’t be sad. Remember me with love and laughter. There are no services scheduled at this time.
