In Loving Memory of Deborah Barger Haga
Deborah Barger Haga, 68, of Knoxville, Tennessee, went home to be with Jesus on Sunday, October 25, 2026, surrounded by her family in the comfort of her home. Debbie was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, and friend whose life was guided by her faith and her love for others. A faithful member of Salem Baptist Church for more than 30 years, her relationship with Jesus was a constant source of strength and comfort throughout her life. She was known for her kind heart and the warmth she brought to every person and every moment she touched. Nothing brought her more joy than having her home filled with all her children and grandbabies. Debbie fought a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer, facing the challenges of her illness with remarkable strength and grace. Above all, she will be remembered for her unwavering faith, her devotion to family, and the special place she held in the lives of those who knew her. Though her passing leaves a heartbreaking void, her family finds comfort in knowing she is no longer suffering and has been welcomed into the loving arms of Jesus.
She is survived by her husband of 49 years, Michael Haga; her children, Krystin White (Joe), Kimberly Roberts (Todd), and Kelsey Elkins (Jake); her grandchildren, Brayden, Kynleigh, Maisyn, Peyton, Hadley, Charlee, Norah, and Brooks; her mother, Kathleen Barger; and her siblings, Tony Barger, Jeff Barger (Patty), and Connie Cagle. She also leaves behind many extended family members and dear friends who will forever cherish her memory. She was preceded in death by her father, Donald Barger.
The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 PM on Friday, October 30, 2026, at Salem Baptist Church, followed by a 7:00 PM Celebration of Life Service officiated by Pastor Allen James.
Though she will be deeply missed, her family takes comfort in the promise of eternal life and the hope of being reunited with her one day.
