Deborah Lynn Bailey

Deborah Lynn Bailey (Debbie) went to her Heavenly Home to be with The Lord on December 19, 2023. She passed away peacefully at the age of 70. She was born on December 13, 1953 in Princeton, West Virginia to Earl and Ethel Murrell. Debbie loved the Lord Jesus and was known for her loving and caring nature, sense of humor, and spunky personality.

Debbie resided in Knoxville, TN for over 30 years with her husband and family. She is survived by her husband of fifty years, Robert Bailey; Son and Daughter-In-Law Mike and Charity Bailey of Hernando, MS; Son Jon Bailey of Knoxville, TN. She was preceded in death by her parents, Earl and Ethel Murrell.

Debbie received a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from Bluefield State College in West Virginia, and worked as a registered nurse in various settings for many years. She had a true passion for caring for others.

A service celebrating Debbie’s life will be held from 5:00-7:00pm Thursday, December 21, 2023, at Mynatt Funeral Home Fountain City Chapel in Knoxville, TN with service to follow. Family and friends will meet 12:45pm Friday, December 22, 2023, at Greenwood Cemetery for a 1:00pm interment.
