Deborah Kay Alston

Deborah Kay “Roark” Alston, age 55 of Knoxville, Tennessee passed away on Friday, October 18, 2024. She was of the Christian Faith.

Preceded in death by grandparents, Marvin and Irene Harrison, Warren and Pearl Roark; father, Herbert Lee Roark; and cousin, Nathan Fritts.

Survived by loving husband, Joseph John Alston Jr.; mother, Bonnie Terry; daughters, Sheena Kay Mahabirsingh (Anthony), Shelby Lynn Johnson; son, Jeffrey Michael Alston; grandchildren, Isaac, Allison, Eli, Helix, Mia, Corinna; sister, Sondra Lee Perdue (Bobby); brother, Brian (Lori) Warren Roark; sister’s in law, Susan (Manuel III) Feliciano, Nancy Alston Martin; aunt, Mary; uncle, Ed Adams; nephews, Cody and Brandon; nieces, Stephanie, Brittany, Anita, Delana, and Jamie; as well as many great nephews, great nieces and cousins.

Family will receive friends from 4:00-6:00PM Tuesday, October 22, 2024, with a funeral service to follow at Mynatt Funeral Home, Halls Chapel. Family and friends will meet at 11:45AM on Wednesday, October 23, 2024, for a 12:00PM graveside service at Ft. Sumter Community Cemetery in Halls.
