David C. Staley

David Carroll Staley (Pap), age 64 of Luttrell, TN, passed away Sunday, May 28, 2023, at Park West Medical Center surrounded by his family.

David proudly served in the U.S. Army for 4 years. David was employed at Lafollette Housing and a member of Mountain View Church of God, and was attending Crossroads Church of God.

Preceded in death by father Elmer Staley.

Survived by mother Imogene Staley, wife of 29 years Loretta (Bates) Staley, step-daughter Laura (Brad) Griffey granddaughters Kailyn Griffey and Marina Loepp, grandson Weston Griffey, daughter Letiscia (Keith) McQueen, granddaughters Madison and Marissa Loepp, and Kinley McQueen, special uncle Eddie (Amy) Thompson, aunts Lucille Cox and Mary Coffman, brother-in-law Denny (Cindy) Bates, Sheldon (Sharon) Bates, sisters-in-law Velma McHone, Wanda Bates, Kathryn (Gordon) Reynolds, host of nieces and nephews, special friend Tim Vanbebber, hunting buddy Scott Thompson, and Lafollette Housing employees, his favorite fur-buddies Oakley and Bocephus.

Family will receive friends 5:00pm-7:00pm Wednesday, May 31, 2023, at Mynatt Funeral Home Fountain City Chapel with service to follow at 7:00pm with Rev. Scott Thompson and Rev. Brad Griffey officiating. Music will be provided by Paul and Mavis Hughes. Family and friends will meet at 10:45am Thursday, June 1, 2023, at Dyer Cemetery for a 11:00am interment. Pallbearers: Brad Griffey, Weston Griffey, Tim Vanbebber, Jeff Coffman, Greg Thompson, and Jason Thompson.
