David Moore, Jr.

Charles David Moore, Jr., age 65, of Knoxville, TN, made his Heavenly Journey on March 29, 2026. David was born in Knoxville, Tennessee on January 9, 1961 to the late Charles and Willie Moore. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend to many. David was known for his gentle demeanor, his sense of humor and his generous nature. David was a longtime member of Westside Baptist Church. He worked as a heavy equipment operator for forty-seven years at CMC. David was well respected for his work ethic and dedication to his job; his coworkers were his second family.

David is survived by his loving wife of over forty-four years, Christy Moore; daughter and son-in-law, Amanda and Brandon Lewis; six grandchildren, Sean, Caitlyn, Carson, Emmalyn, Declan and Gavin; sister and brother-in-law, Rhonda and Edward Beach; many nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 7:00 Pm Thursday, April 2, 2026 at Mynatt Funeral Home, Halls Chapel with funeral service to follow at 7:00 PM. Reverend Jason Turner and Reverend Josh Greene officiating.

Family and friends will meet by 12:00 PM Friday, April 3, 2026 at Mynatt Funeral home, Halls Chapel to go in procession to Highland Memorial Cemetery for a 1:00 PM Entombment service.

David may have left this World, but his love and legacy will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
